The Barn
Meadow Barn is a stunning Grade II listed barn conversion tucked away in the popular village of South Creake in a wonderfully quiet location. Forming part of a small, exclusive development, the original farm buildings date back to c. 1800 and were converted by renowned local barn specialist Michael McNamara in 2005. With living accommodation extending to over 3000 square feet, there are three large en suite bedrooms in the main barn and a garden annexe with super flexible accommodation providing a further one or two bedrooms.
The wonderful feeling of space throughout Meadow Barn is due not only to the wonderfully proportioned rooms but also to the impressive full height glazed entrances on both sides of the building, flooding with house with light and drawing the eye to the vaulted, beamed ceiling that dominates the first floor.
On entering the house, through the large bi-fold doors from the rear garden, you are welcomed into a cleverly arranged open plan living space, incorporating a cosy fireside snug area with wood burning stove, downstairs loo, dining area benefitting from lovely views to the front and a wonderful kitchen with four oven AGA and companion cooker & hob. Arranged off the kitchen, is the utility room and two large double bedrooms, both with en suite shower rooms.
Upstairs is the stunning sitting room. A very large space that still manages to feel warm and welcoming, with a beautiful vaulted and beamed ceiling, exposed brick walls and open fire place.
The principal bedroom is located upstairs, off the sitting room, with fitted wardrobes and windows looking out to the rear, this lovely room has a fabulous en suite bathroom, with free standing bath and separate shower enclosure.
Garden Annexe
Just a few steps away from the main home, is the garden annexe. This super flexible space has a large reception room which could easily double as a home office, TV room, sitting room or second bedroom, alongside a newly fitted Family Bathroom and further double bedroom. Again with vaulted beamed ceiling and exposed brick feature walls, this is a stylish space that would be perfect for guests to give them that extra element of privacy when staying, or for teenagers to have their own space.
The double garage can be accessed from both the annexe and from the vehicular entrance to the development to the rear of the barn.
Outside
Meadow Barn has a great sized South Westerly facing garden, walled and fully enclosed, there is a large paved terrace, lawn and mature planting with plenty of space for outdoor dining furniture, a hot tub and trampoline with a gravelled driveway leading to the garden annexe and out passed the tall gates to the parking area and garage beyond.
Meadow Barn is an impressive property approached either from the rear or from the front, since both feature an impressive double height, glazed entrance. To the front there are steps leading up to the dining area from the quiet lane leading to the church and a pretty view out over meadows used for horse grazing.
